Business specialist EFZ – your versatile entry into the international MEM industry

Start an apprenticeship at Fehr that takes you into all the key specialist areas of an international industrial company. You change department every year, gain insights into administration, sales, purchasing, accounting and project work – perfect for developing your personality, developing yourself further and helping to shape innovation where processes and technology meet.

What to expect

  • A training program with annual departmental changes, where you go through different departments in the company.
  • A comprehensive insight into the entire company – from commercial tasks to project support to accounting.
  • Possibility of a taster day so that you can get to know the working environment before the start of the course and can decide.
  • Participation in a global environment that opens up prospects and contacts in international markets.
  • Practical training with real responsibilities and varied tasks, not just teaching material.

Design engineer in EFZ – Your path to technical design power

Experience an education in which you are actively involved from the beginning. As a budding engineer EFZ at Fehr, you immerse yourself deeply into the world of technology and construction: You support engineering and development teams, design real machine and plant components with CAD tools and learn how technical solutions go into series production. During your training, you switch through different departments in a targeted manner and thus gain a comprehensive understanding of processes, technology and interactions in the company. At our info afternoon you can come and collect first impressions – before your training officially begins.

What to expect

  • Diverse insights: Targeted changes of specialist areas such as construction, mechanics and electronics – so you get to know the company from the ground up.
  • Practical training: you work on real projects, create design drawings, model parts with 3D CAD and accompany products to production.
  • Personal support: In cooperation with the Winterthur training center, your training partner is carefully selected and matched to your profile – so that you start out with the greatest success.
  • Future prospects: After four years of apprenticeship, there are numerous avenues open to you – for example, specialization through a vocational qualification, a higher technical school or direct entry into highly qualified technical tasks.
  • Possibility of a taster day so that you can get to know the working environment before the start of the course and can decide.

Partnership with AZW Winterthur

At our headquarters in Switzerland, we work closely with the Winterthur Training Center (AZW) to ensure practice-oriented and high-quality training. Through this cooperation, our students benefit from a structured curriculum, targeted care and the opportunity to optimally align the training company with their interests and strengths. For example, we offer young talents in Winterthur a modern, well-connected environment in which they can develop their personalities, build up technical know-how and lay the foundation for a successful career.
